Many beeps LS4278

First If it shows up in devices and printers remove/delete it.  Then unplug the scanner from the computer and reboot.  While the computer is rebooting, please unplug the usb from the cradle or dock.  Sometimes with new cables they need to be re seated.  Plug the usb back into the cradle, and wait for the computer to boot up completely before plugging the usb cable back into the computer.  Once the computer is back up and the scanner is plugged in (hopefully windows has re detected the scanner) please print the sheet linked below and follow the steps.  This should get you back up and running.

If you are using Windows 10, please try to set it up on a lower version of Windows then plug it into the Windows 10 computer.

Please print out the document linked below, and follow the directions.  This is very different than the card you may have received with your scanner.  Please let us know if this does not correct your problem.

Missing Battery in Package

Our techs replace the batteries before the units are shipped.  We like to dispose of the old batteries correctly, test the new battery, and make it as easy for you as we can.

Installation on the Scanner

DataWedge software from the Symbol website at https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3mLWpkZQvGYM1lyZkhmanByeTA   (its totally free)

Its very easy to install on the unit and allows you to control both the imager and scanner.  The DataWedge takes any information that is scanned and put its directly into the active field as if you were typing it, from there you can configure both a Prefix and Suffix so that it can begin or end the scan with any sequence of characters (or carriage returns, tabs, etc).  To make it turn on every time you use the unit you'll just copy the the .exe file into the /Windows/Startup folder....make sure you copy the correct .exe (it should be located in the ZIP file under the PPC directory).

(Optional) For the PC

Here is the link to download datawedge. Unzip and install on your pc.
Sync the unit with your pc. Once your unit is synced on the pc go to
Start/ programs/ datawedge/ install datawedge. It will start the
installation, your unit will prompt you to install datawedge, choose
device and install. The unit will reboot and datawedge will start
running. Once installed your scanner will fire regardless of what
program you are running.
